Morning Fresh now made in Indonesia
The company was formerly known as Paterson Zochonis Plc and changed its name to PZ Cussons Plc in 2002. PZ Cussons Plc was founded in 1879 and is headquartered in Manchester, the United Kingdom, owns amongst other brands the Morning Fresh, Radiant, Imperial Leather and St Tropez brands in Australia. In addition, it offers electrical goods, such as fridges, freezers, washing machines, televisions, DVD players, mobile phones, and air conditioning units under the Haier Thermocool and Tec names; and baby care products, including soaps, lotions, shampoos, talcum powders, and rubs The product Morning Fresh produced in Indonesia is definitely not the same quality as was produced in Australia. I telephoned Morning Fresh in Australia and expressed my disappointment they informed me it may have been a bad batch, don't think so as I have two bottles with a different batch number but still the same poor quality. I have since tried the Aldi brand TANDIL ( Made In AUSTRALIA) and found it to better than Indonesian Morning Fresh and is 40% cheaper. If Aldi can source their dishwashing detergent in Australia why can't PZ Cussons? Another case of profits at the expense of quality. Of course, they are so big they just don't listen.

Found a 10yr old bottle
Over the last few years, I noticed morning fresh doesn't work as well as it used to. My dishes always feel greasy and I'm using more liquid.
I found a lost bottle after 10 years and did a comparison. The old stuff was far, far stronger than the new stuff. The side by side comparisons was staggering. The new stuff is about 10x weaker than the old formula.
As for the general racist accusation? I didn't even notice production went offshore. I still have the 10yr old bottle. I need no more proof than that.
1 star is fair for a poor product that doesn't do its job anymore.

Why not just use water
I have been using Morning fresh dishwashing liquid for many years and am appalled at the change in this product. There is now no suds, no smell (it used to smell so lovely) and absolutely no grease dissolving content. I may as use just hot water. Not only is it a waste of space in my cupboard, but I actually had to pay for it.
Remove it from the shelves, it is misleading in its advertising, ineffective in cleaning and a complete turnaround to what was a great product.
I have three medium sized bottles and one large bottle in my cupboard just in case I had one dud product. No, they are all the same. Could you please answer me - why change a good thing?

What happened to Morning fresh?
I had for many years used this product and found it to do a very good job of cleaning dishes and cutting grease, the last 4 or so bottles though have been completely useless with dishes left greasy even when the product was used on them completely undiluted. This product has gone from Amazing to not worth buying in a very short time.

Agree, not as good as used to be
I too have noticed the change in Morning Fresh's ability to cut through grease. It's definitely not the product that it used to be. Leaves dishes greasy and I have to re-wash them which is frustrating. I go through a bottle very quickly as you need double the amount than before. I'll not be buying it again!

Gone downhill ..
I am a long time user of Morning Fresh and was happy to pay extra for a superior product as it lasted longer due to the concentration and worked extremely effectively. However, the formula has become obviously diluted and the consistency is watery, rendering it's performance the same as poor to average, cheaper quality detergents. I now only buy MF when on sale as it is no longer worth it. Very, very disappointed. Raise the price if you must ... At least you would not be compromising the quality.

Less than half the strength it used to be
I'm an industrial chemist and have worked for a number of detergent manufacturers for many years (formulating products for them). When Morning Fresh was first produced in Australia it was easily the strongest retail product on the market. I tested it back then and several times over the years and found that it was approximately 50% active (i.e. 50% detergent with 50% water and other non-functional ingredients). That was still the case until recently. To wash an average sink-load of dishes with this product required about 1/2 a teaspoon. Unless you measured it I suspect most users would have used more than necessary. The next best products on the market were around 20 to 25% active. Thus the Cussons product would do the same job using about half as much as the next best product. Recently, however, (perhaps a year or two ago) I understand that Cussons ceased manufacture of this product in Australia and are now importing it. The most recent sample I tested was only around 24% active. i.e. slightly less than half the strength of the original formula. Roughly the same strength as other "premium" brands now but not the stand out performer that it used to be. (I just tested one of Palmolive's products that I bought about 6 months ago and it is around 25% active). By the way, viscosity doesn't necessarily have anything to do with strength. You can make a low-quality detergent thicker simply by adding salt.
Not worth 1 Star
The quality of this product has gone downhill so far that I can't give it any star at all. It's very watery and you need a rather big squirt to get a few bubbles that last about 2 minutes. As for for grease removing, there's no action whatsoever! Dishes have to be rinsed in hot water to get grease off! I'll never buy this product again!
