korean-fried-tofu (yubu-chobap)

http://www.kfoodaddict.com/korean-fried-tofu-pockets-yubu-chobap/

Ingredients (Serves 2 )

  • a pack of Yubu Chobap (14 pieces)
  • 1 1/2 bowl of Steamed short grain rice (sushi rice)
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/2 onion
  • broccoli (a head of broccoli)
  • Sesame seeds (recommended Black one for better color)

Steps

1. Prepare the Yubu. You can buy Yubu in any Korean or Asian grocery store. Inside, you will find 3 sachets; Fried bean curd, vinegar sauce and dried flavoring.
2.You are welcome to only use the ingredients in the packet, but for more flavour I will be chopping some onion, carrot and brocolli.
3. Fry the vegetables lightly with a little bit of oil.
4. Mix the vinegar sauce, dried flavoring, sesame seeds and fried vegetables with rice.
(Add the vinegar sauce little by little, to taste)
5. The wraps are watery, so squeeze them very lightly to remove the excess water (but don’t squeeze too hard, or it may lose its flavor and become dry).
6. Make Yubu Chobap like this.
Finish!
TIPS:
  • The wraps are quite high in calories, but you can reduce the fat content by boiling the wraps in hot water for around 7 seconds (but don’t overdo it!)
  • Don’t put too much rice in a wrap, or it will tear easily.
